"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

we watch tv shows and read books
Have any of you seen the TV show Firefly? It's pretty incredible. The show only lasted for one season (terrible shame) but there is a follow-up movie (which is also incredible) called Serenity. The show is a space-western. Sounds odd, I know, but it is definitely worth watching. Sine finishing both the series and the movie, I talked Spencer into watching Gilmore Girls with me. With such clever, witty, fast-paced dialogue, and quirky characters, what's not to love?
As mentioned before, another favorite pastime of Spencer's and mine is to read books outloud. We recently finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. It's a delightful little book, kind of about a boy and a dog, but I promise it's not what you think. We're starting another book tonight. Not sure what it is yet, but it's guaranteed to be good.

Have seen and read all of the above!
Not the biggest sci-fan or whatever you wanna call that stuff but Curious Incident was very enjoyable.
Analysed and wrote many essays on that book. Just waiting for em to make a movie out of it.
Stop reading and being literate and just kiss all day.
I got Firefly recently and have watched the first few episodes. Very enjoyable. I'll have to check out the movie when we get to the end. Loved "Curious incident..."
