That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

garlic chicken round two

Slightly different recipe + boneless, skinless chicken breasts = one much less grossed out Alyssa.

I don't really have much else to say except that I love Mondays because I don't have to work. So, I had lunch with Spencer, went to the Rec Center to work out, then spent some time laying out with my roommate because the weather is oh, so beautiful here right now. Oh, yeah - I'm coming home on Saturday and I'm just a little bit excited about it.
