"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

and i swear to the stars, i'll burn this whole city down

You know what I perhaps love the most about blogging? It's the fact that I can go back and read other people's {specifically roommates'} posts about times since past. And who wouldn't want to go back and reread them when one is so eloquent as she?
So maybe I'm sitting on the couch and
reading about Winter semester 2009.
And maybe I'm listening to music that
terribly reminds me of those few months.
I'm laughing at the memories . . .
And maybe I'm even crying a little.
{this one and this one are the ones that got me}
I'm a sucker for nostalgia; but then again, maybe it's just today.
No, I'm just a wimp when it comes to reminiscing.
I miss that time. Those girls. It was magical. I want it back.
Why does time keep moving forward?

Alas. Time relentlessly moves forward.
