"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

Here's what made me happy today:

:: having the entire apartment to myself for a night
:: rearranging the living room {it looks so lovely now}
:: surviving my lifeguard training yesterday
:: going to church
:: cooking dinner with my roommate Melanie, who I adore
:: spending time talking with my wonderful boy
:: cheesecake
:: watching The Sound of Music {because, seriously, who doesn't love this movie?!?}
:: wearing happy, spring dresses
:: realizing there is only 1 month, 3 weeks, and 3 days until the Prologue of Le Tour de France

{and because I forgot this on my dad's feature, here's a resounding "HUZZAH!" just for you, Dad}

Of course your dad would want his own "HUZZAH." That's how he rolls!
