That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

i'm pleased to announce that video chatting is a success

All of the stress of BYU's hell week that consists of trying to remember everything I've ever learned {when all I can think of is this} + the fact that Dayn is leaving way too soon for my liking {6 days} and flying home for the summer + the general chaos of the end of the school year + my frustration {undeniably in vain} with my inability to freeze time all disappeared for a few minutes today when I was working on a study guide and he unexpectedly walked through my front door just to say hello and see if I was having a good day. For those few minutes he was here everything was perfectly ok; I didn't have a care in the world. It's moments like these that make me happy about life, and make finals week at the university bearable.
