That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

"Like we did when we opened: We dedicate this performance to Jonathan Larson."

Yeah, I know, I already blogged about this this week....but....
I just watched the DVD of the final broadway performance of RENT.
And positively bawled through the whole thing.
Especially when the OBC came onstage at the end
And sang "Seasons of Love".
I really realized tonight, more than ever, how this show has changed me for the better.
It is simply amazing.
"Forget regret, or life is yours to miss"
"Give in to love, or live in fear"
"No day but today"

Thank you Jonathan Larson.

Was it so good that you missed class for it? Just kidding. I suppose you could have been there today. I looked for you but didn't see you.
