"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

so i'm slightly obsessed with blogging...

What better to do on a Saturday afternoon while procrastinating homework than come up with an excellent application with my even more excellent roommate L-dawg, for all of the guys to fill out who are interested in dating the ladies in our apartment? So far, the only thing more fun than actually creating the application and putting an "apply within" sign in the window under our "gentlemen wanted" sign, is reading the responses we've received from the boys.

Here are some of my favorite responses:
1. Projected Graduation Year: Only God knows.
2. What are your intentions?: To woo ladies, serve God, and kill ducks.
3. In 50 words or less, describe your perfect date. - Steamy (take that however you want)
4. Describe how you brush your teeth, and what the color of your toothbrush is?: Sexily; blue
5. In 50 words or less, explain the plot, themes and overall meaning of Pride and Prejudice and how you apply it to your daily life. - Mr. Darcy > everyone else. (this is my personal favorite answer -a.)

And that is just the beginning. It is a 4 page application complete with letterhead thanks to E and her amazing connections/employment at the LRC. We've already had 7 applicants, and I do believe that there are a few more floating around that haven't been returned to us as of yet.

P.S. I discovered that random, whimsical, nonchalant goal setting actually works
Ask me about it, and I just may tell you what I mean.

Can goal setting really be nonchalant? By the way, those are funny responses.

With regards to freaky Wed. I am also glad that you did not give into temptation and leave your boring class :) And hopefully your professor does not know ASL lol.
That is hilarious that you looked at yourself in Amber's clothing and got excited thinking it was her!

Thanks for the laughs!

I want to live by myself in a little house in Georgia and also have a big dog--like a Rottweiler or Great Dane.

That's what I'm saving up money for and wanting to go to college (after I get residency) for - justified paycheck in order to support my goal

I love your application process! You've got to continue sending us answers to it--at least those that rise above the pack.
