"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

"in vain have i struggled. it will not do. my feelings will not be repressed."

I submit that life could not get much better. I am lounging on the couch and just watched Darcy propose to Elizabeth (round 1) for the umpteenth gazillion time. (A&E version). I get butterflies every time; it's just so amazingly phenomenal. Darcy = complete perfection. I'm also listening to Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Pink Floyd, blogging, sitting with Sarah, talking about life, and completely full and satisfied from a wonderful dinner that I did not have to cook. Saturday's 1940s-inspired photo shoot was a gigantic success; ratted hair, high heels and all. We yielded some amazing pictures thanks to E's magnificent photography and photoshopping (dang flourescent lights) skills.

End Note: My life, or at least the last week of it, has come full circle.

I'm feeling a little out of the looping circle of your life. Is there anything I should know? Of course I been caught up in the endlessly looping circle of a coughing feverish abyss that never ceases. *reaches quivering hand to the skies rasping out* Free me! Free me! Hey maybe Darcy could do it. He can do anything.
