"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

some changes to the old blog

Currently I've been making some changes to my blog. Most of these changes are due to the fact that I'm getting married in a month and a half. I'll still provide you with all of my musings about the random events of life, but come December, it won't just be me anymore. I'll have a husband, and it'll be all about us. Don't worry, though. This blog isn't going to turn into one of those nothing-but pictures-of-me-and-my-husband blogs, but there will be fun depictions of our adventures as a young, married couple. Basically, I'm just changing some things to include more of us and less of just me.
