That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

I keep seeing little bits of Christmas everywhere I go. There are Christmas displays in stores and Christmas lights are going up. Christmas is my favorite time of the year; it's just so magical. I usually don't start listening to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, but for some reason* I can't wait that long. Today I bought this:
And it's fantastic. I've been listening to it all day.

*It feels like Christmas outside - cold. I'm getting married, and somehow I think that listening to Christmas music will help time go by a little more quickly.

We've already started with some here and there. David is practicing one on the guitar and getting quite good at it.

I love me some Ella though. I'm going to have to get that. I don't have one of her singing Christmas.
