"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

to start week two

This weekend my mom was here. We did lots of wedding shopping and successfully found some awesome bridesmaids outfits. {black pencil skirts+cream undershirts+purple quarter-length sleeved cardigans} We ate lots of good food, and just had a good time spending time together. My mom left on Sunday morning.
The weekend went by too fast.

Labor Day was good too. Spencer and I made steaks with twice-baked potatoes. They were delicious. Then we spent the rest of the day watching Gilmore girls, the Food Network, and miniature golfing. I learned how to line up my putts correctly, and hit it on the line I intended. I'm getting better. Slowly, but surely getting better.

Here's hoping week two of school is as good as the first.

Definitely too fast! Next time I'm gonna stay longer! Can't guarantee no tears at the airport though...lol. Love you!

Sounds like you had a great weekend. Do you have your dress yet?
