"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

i'm in love with this week.

Finals week hasn't killed me like I thought it would. In fact, I dare say this is the best finals week I've ever had. Actually, I'd even go so far as to say this has been one of the best weeks of the entire semester. The stars are aligning in my favor, and everything is going perfectly. Aside from mild seasonal allergies (everything here decided to bloom overnight) I've had a great run at finals so far. The only one left is an open-book test online, that I can take at my leisure. Sure, I still have a paper due, but it's in the editing phase now, so it's practically done.
As for everything else in my life?
It couldn't be any better. I am, indubitably, happy.

Also, two different professors told me this week that my final essays for their respective classes are worthy of publication. Life is oh, so good.

Huzzah! That is fabulous! I'm so happy for you! I maintain what I said on facebook. You are going to be published before I am. I would love that. You're so smart and such a great writer. Kudos. I can't wait to see you.
