That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

i want to pet a baby tiger

Even if you don't know her, I highly reccomend reading her blog as it is both inspiring and heartwarming. She is such an eloquent writer, her words bring me so much happiness, and I think they can do the same for you if you read them. I miss her dearly, and couldn't be more jealous of her right now because of this.

One of my life goals is to pet big cats. I want to so badly. And even though you won't see this: I'm super jealous of you, E. So jealous, but so happy. Remember that one time we watched a show on Animal Planet about baby tigers, and did nothing but incessantly squeal the entire time the show was on? Happy times, indeed.
