"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

sick, sick, sick...

Despite feeling like I've been hit by a semi-truck, having a really sore throat, and being confined to my couch all day, there are still some things that helped me feel a bit better:

:: orange juice {i drank a gallon in the past 2 days}
:: naps {i've been dozing all day; i feel like a cat}
:: Gilmore Girls {season four does wonders}
:: a boy to cuddle with
:: advil
:: sherbet {raspberry}
:: that same boy who read to me and sang to me while I rested

:: And . . . this email from BYU:
Subject line: "Do You Feel Sick?"
Body: "You may have the flu if you have a fever or chills AND a cough or sore throat. {editor's note: here's the best part} If you think you have the flu, stay home or in your residence. Contact your professors through email or by telephone immediately".
I contacted my Tuesday professors informing them that I won't be in class tomorrow. I need more time to rest and recover so I can start feeling better again.

Hopefully I'll feel one-hundred percent better soon.
I hate being sick.
