That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

funny things i saw on campus today:

A Renaissance booth set up in the middle of the grass complete with people dressed in period clothing, dancing around, and playing recorders . . . you better believe I mocked them for about an hour after I saw them.

I saw . . . are you ready for this? Are you sure? Here you go . . . please click here. Yes, that's what you think it is. It is a motorized mountain bike. Isn't that just the epitome of laziness on two wheels? Isn't the point of riding a bike of any sort to get some kind of exercise? The guy I saw riding this crazy contraption looked like he was coasting, but he was coasting up a hill. {not to mention it sounded like a really tiny high-pitched moped}

Sometimes laughing at ridiculous things is really good.

I would have made fun of the Renaissance people too, but secretly I want to dress up and go to one of their fairs. I don't know I could get into character like they do, but dressing up would be fun.

Have a great weekend :)

coasting up hill is ok by me. The noise wouldn't be though.
