"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

fact #6,462 about alyssa:

When I am in my truck and the radio is on, I rock out. I mean I really rock out.

{
especially if it's a song I know}

music up loud, pounding on the steering wheel, singing at the top of my lungs, dancing {as best as I can} while sitting in my driver's seat, playing air guitar, shouts of exclamation if a great song comes on, etc, etc.
Basically, I'm having the time of my life.

However, I always, always forget that the other drivers can see me . . . until they start giving me funny looks.

Then I remember:
Oh yes, that's right. You really can see me making a complete fool of myself.

Oh well.
