Earlier today I was annotating a poem for my English class when I saw that I had the word Minotaur written down in my notes as something to make a footnote about. I looked back at the poem, re read it a few times, and could not find the word to save my life. For a good 5 minutes I searched for the word, and thought I was legitimately crazy, and had somehow mistaken the word "marker" for "minotaur".
That misread was a completely plausible conclusion for me this afternoon because I was working with 5 hours of sleep. The reason I only got 5 hours of sleep: My neck is in serious pain. I was up until 4 am because no matter how I moved, my neck ached, and the 800 milligrams of Advil + ice pack didn't do a darn thing.
But, I'm pleased to announce that the word "minotaur" was, indeed, actually in my poem. I am not crazy.
{I just saw a Target commercial featuring Prince. My life may or may not now be complete.}

Fear the Minotaur! I hope your neck feels better soon. You'll need the sleep to prepare yourself for the last four classes of English.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Neck pain is awful! I hope you're feeling better by now.
