Me: "I love pecans."
Bryce: "It's a pecaaaan."
Me: "No. It's a peeeecan."
Bryce: "No it's not. A 'peeecan' is a weird bird that doesn't exist."
{i'm from the South. it will forever be a peeeecan}
"You know what two things he hated the most? Novels and Business. Do you know what the two most popular majors at his school are?
English and Business."
{how excellent is that?}
Matt and I got the Led out by listening to some lovely Zeppelin.
At one point I looked over because I heard something strange.
It was Matt...... playing the guitar part to the song.......
.......on his duck call.
{the funny thing is: i wasn't surprised one bit}
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of my amazing friends for being so awesome in my time of sadness yesterday/today. Y'all know who you are and what y'all did. I am SO incredibly lucky and grateful to have friends like y'all.
{Much love coming y'all's way from me.}

I love the pecan debate...however, I am afraid I must side with Bryce on this one.
Led Zeppelin on a duck call...hmmmmm.
I'll bet the temple was lovely, as all temples are!
Don't you see, Alyssa, my southern belle? Even your friends agree that the pronunciation is "pecawn." Also, I saw you today outside of class! How eerie to see that people live real lives beyond the one I know in the Maeser Building.
I actually say pecan both ways. Mama always said pecahn and Daddy always said peeecan. (Although I tend towards peeecan. I'm not sure why.) Maybe it's a regional thing because they are both southern.
I love the BY thing. How funny is that!
