"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

This makes me very happy.

Remember way back in 2002 when Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped?
I've been following her kidnapper's trial recently because it's heavily featured on our local news here. Today they jury reached a verdict: Brian David Mitchell was found guilty on all counts in the case, and they also determined that he is not insane.

Read all about it here.

That's great news. I'm assuming there is no death penalty if he could only face up to life in prison.
