"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

i love, love, love storms

It has now been storming here for the past few days.
I love the thunder and lightning and rain.
It reminds me of South Carolina summers.
And although the storms here pale in comparison to home-home, it's still great.

Oh, if you haven't read the NieNie Dialogues, click the link and then back up a bunch of posts to get all of the back-story. Also, watch this. It's truly inspiring. I absolutely love how positive she is about life.

Storms rock. We had a great one while we were at the beach. I just love the raw power of them.
