"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

happy weekend

What a lovely weekend I had. Or rather, I should say "what a lovely Sunday I had". I worked an eleven-hour shift on Saturday, but Spencer saved the day by bringing me dinner. I'm happy that I won't have any more of those long shifts again. They're unbelievably tiring. Sunday was wonderful and relaxing, though. We took a nap, made some amazing food, cuddled, and watched some Seinfeld.

{In other news, my mom is coming to visit me on Thursday! We're going to play in Utah all weekend}

Also, at church, because it was the beginning of a new semester, it was a giant "get to know you" activity. Everyone had to stand up at the front and say a few things about themselves, including your "claim to fame". Spencer's claim to fame? Being a dating expert. My claim to fame? Marrying him.

Boy, am I excited. December, please hurry up.
