That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

"Thrilla in Manilla"

I spent the better part of Saturday afternoon feeling like I was being attacked by tulle, but it was all worth it. It was actually the most fun thing I've done in a while. And I must also mention the amazing steaks we had for dinner. It was the best steak I've ever had.
And then we watched this:

Yes, this is a real movie. We watched it.
My life will never be the same again.
