That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

It's Monday again.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was nothing short of awesome. First things first, Spencer came back on Friday evening. (Oh, happy day!) I missed him so much when he was gone. Friday involved Gilmore girls and lots of cuddling. Saturday was lots more cuddling, a shopping trip, dinner at Pizzeria 712, and more time with the Gilmore girls. On Sunday we color coordinated our clothes for church. It's one of our favorite things to do. Yes, we're dorks. Yes, we know. My weekend was incredible. It was amazing being able to spend so much time with Spencer after not seeing him for almost two weeks. Life is great.

P.S.
We made bacon ice cream this weekend. That's right. Bacon ice cream. Actually, it was apple-flavored ice cream with freshly cooked crispy bacon crumbles on top. Sounds a bit odd, but it's strangely delicious. It gives us even further evidence that bacon really is good with anything.

bacon on ice cream. I don't know. That sounds too weird. I'd try it though to find out. Where did you even hear about something like that?
