That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

...and here's an update

It's late, I know, and I should probably be asleep right now, but I'm really thirsty; hydration is important, so why not blog while I hydrate?

Despite the two research papers I have to write this week (ack!) and being insanely jealous of this, my life is going quite splendidly. Yesterday was such a happy day. Pajamas and Aladdin. Need I say more? Currently, I'm sitting on the couch with The Fab Four blaring from my iTunes. I can still smell the mix of Polo Blue + Nautica-something that's lingering in a kind-of-haze around me - which also means that he is back from his trip. (huzzah!). I also register for Fall classes in a day or two, which means the semester is almost over (oh, happy day!). That means Summer is nearing, and I have some awesome plans.

Oh, and the research papers really won't be that bad. I chose some awesome topics.

I hate writing papers, but I don't have your talent for words. Good luck!
