"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

so i'm pretty lucky.

Yesterday was just one of those days. Y'all know what I mean. It was one of those feel-like-you've-been-hit-by-a-semi-just-want-to-curl-up-in-a-ball-and-die days. Well, to make a long story short, there's this really great young man (i think i've mentioned him before) who I'm quite fond of. He took me out for dinner, then cuddled with me on the couch for a long time (because i didn't feel up to doing anything else) and even read me a funny story to help me feel better.
it worked.

I don't think I've seen this "nice young man" on Facebook.

I want to see him!

When a guy not only wants to be around you when your sad, but helps cheer you up, that's a very good sign.
