"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

One year ago today, this little cutie of mine died.
It still feels like yesterday that my mom called me to tell me that she had to be put down.
So, so sad.
I miss her.

Such a sweet cat. Plus, she always looked so young. I couldn't get over how she always looked so good.

I can't believe that a year has passed already! And two years since we lost Sammy. I remember the day we saved Sammy, and then when Rhubarb was born to our next door neighbors. S & R survived that crazy, a trip all the way across the country, the woods around our house, and having to put up with two younger cats! They surly will never be forgotten ;)
