"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

oh, school.

And I give you Thursday in my Postmodern American Lit. class:

Ticked off professor because people (not me) were late for class:

"This is a graduate level class! You should behave as such."
(umm...no. unless i suddenly graduated a year early and got accepted to the masters program without my knowledge, i'm pretty sure it's still an undergrad class. and my classmates would agree with me)

"You need to make copies of your papers for everyone. It's the Socratic method; it's a Harvard Law class here people."
(umm...no. sure its the Socratic method, but unless harvard changed its name and relocated to provo, i'm pretty sure i still go to byu. and i know that i didn't take the lsat and apply to law school)
