That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

oh what a day.

dear cleaning check checker,
please go easy on us . . . we tried. i promise we did.

dear food stealer of s-204,
you need to stop. two pans of cinnamon rolls? seriously? this tops it all. i am baffled. {and you're lucky they weren't mine because i would have woken you from your peaceful slumber to give you a piece of my mind}

dear couple who tried to make out under water today,
did you really think that was going to work? i guess y'all forgot that breathing is necessary, but thanks for the entertainment while i was guarding; made my shift go by faster. i appreciate it.

dear family,
i am really excited to see you. so soon.

dear sunglasses case,
i need to find you. i don't like it that you're lost. i miss you. please come back.

dear head cold,
i am not happy with you right now. you need to go away before i travel on wednesday. please, and thank you.
