That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

yes, i went and saw it on opening day

Yesterday I went to the theatre and watched the new Harry Potter.
And after standing in line for 20 minutes, then sitting in the theatre for another 30 waiting for the previews to start {thank goodness i always carry a book with me everywhere} I wasn't going to be a very happy person if I didn't fully enjoy the movie.
In my opinion it lived up to the hype. The acting was good; cinematography, excellent, etc. It was a very well done movie, except for the parts they changed or added on.
{i wasn't too happy about some of them}
But overall, I was quite pleased.

Also, currently reading:
I'm about halfway finished, and not quite sure
what I think of Holden yet.
I can't figure out if I like him or not.

Holden grows on you. That's one of my favorite books.

Glad to hear the movie is good - I'm nervous! There's been a couple that didn't measure up to my expectations...
