That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

my little update

Because nothing overly exciting or drastic happened in today's stage {Lance is still only 0.22 of a second away from 1st place} I found it fitting to take a break from Tour coverage/excitement/obsession and try something different.

:: In the past week I have:
- gone for a bike ride every day
- watched the Tour live every day it's been on
- read the most adorable children's book

:: In the past 24 hours I:
- went on a late-night Sonic run
- watched RENT
- slept on the couch

:: Today I:
- started reading The Catcher in the Rye
- bought a pair of bike shorts {best. idea. ever.}
- talked to that very special boy of mine

i'm living the good life.

P.S. Our late night sonic run ended up at McD's b/c it was extremely late :) and I fall asleep on the couch regularly...like when I am still for 5 minutes!
Hope that special boy appreciates you!
