"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

today was full of happiness

today was great.
{
except for wakin
g up early}
but it was beyond worth the lack of sleep.
you'll see why.
:: part 1 ::
Lauren, Kelsie, and I adventured up to SLC in my little white truck for E's farewell. she gave an excellent talk full of allusions to C.S. Lewis' The Great Divorce
:: part 2 ::
after church we spent a lovely, lazy Sunday afternoon sprawled in the grass of E's backyard, taking pictures
{i love these girls so ardently}
:: part 3 ::

then maybe we stopped by East High. and maybe took some pictures. and for about 1.2 seconds, maybe, just maybe
i pretended that i was in this movie.

{many thanks to Kelsie and her amazing photography skills}
