they depended on each other, and the world depended on them

I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for this man, his men, and everything they did for this country and the world. I have hardly any words that accurately describe my feelings for Dick Winters, except that I am a much better and more grateful person for having read and re-read his story. I have learned so much from his humble example of leadership and strength through trials. I hope that I can live my life in such a way that I can possess merely a fraction of the caliber of his character.
