"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

and it's two bare feet on the dashboard...

Summertime is so happy.

Here are just a few reasons why this is my favorite season of all:
:: laying out by the pool
:: sunshine
:: thunderstorms
:: the smell of chlorine
:: classic rock or country turned up, with the windows down
:: care-free, lazy afternoons
:: warm, warm weather
:: flip flops
:: reading books/listening to music on the beach
:: wearing skirts/shorts almost every day

here's to a fabulous summer!

While it pains me to see country music on such a great blog, I agree with your sentiment on summer.
