That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

can music save your mortal soul?

yes, indeed, it can

:: The 5 Browns performed at BYU tonight, and guess who went...ME!

:: Their program was phenomenal. The music sensational. Their performance flawless.

:: Easily the most impressive piece of the evening: Toccata, op. 11 by Sergei Prokofieff

:: My personal favorites: The Planets by Gustav Holst arranged for 5 pianos and Danse macabre, symphonic poem in G Minor, op. 40 by Camille Saint-Saë
ns again, arranged for 5 pianos.

:: The whole concert {especially the 2 stunning encores} made me nostalgic for my Brevard days when there was an amazing classical concert to go to every single day.

Music is wonderful.

p.s. I got to meet them and I got their autographs!

Wow! Those 5 Browns are something else. That's so cool that you got to meet them. I bet it did make you miss your Brevard days.

I know I sure couldn't live without music.

Music is what feelings sound like.
