"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

y'all come back now, y'hear?

Apparently my Southern accent comes out when I talk to people from home.
I know it happens, but I can't really tell.
My guy friends made me "turn on" my accent last night so they could hear it.
Then told me that if I used my accent, guys would be lining up to ask me on dates.
Hmmm. Now that's an idea.
Maybe I'll give it a try.
