That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

Gilmore Girls with Mocktails Part Deux = Epic Awesomeness

Yet again we have succomb to the temptation of watching Gilmore Girls into the wee hours of the morning.
Coupled with phenomenal roommates and amazing mocktails made by Lauren, this evening is destined to be amazing. Our very own mocktail tribute to Gilmore Girls includes Cran-Grape juice, Ruby Red Grapefruit juice, and star-shaped ice cubes. Just in case you wanted to know.

Today was an even more epic day in English Class....ahem....I mean Transatlantic Literature class.
We had a debate to end all debates between the Brits and the Yanks.
And said debate was in the style of Parliament; complete with shouts of joy and loud, flatulent noises.
Started off with a joyous 'Huzzah!' from my Brit. Lit. Prof., an amazing debate ensued.
At one point the Brits asked the Yanks how they defined the word 'unfair'.
The Yanks replied with 'the opposite of fair'.
At that precise moment, the only thing that came to mind was "Well.....DUH!"
Oh how I love my major. And amazing stories read by even more amazing storytellers.

Most excellent first date advice:
"Alright, but no taking me to an art museum after hours and then to an empty Hollywood bowl where you give me a pair of earrings that you bought with your college money, when all the time you're really in love with your best friend, the drummer, who's posing as our driver for the evening."

It's official. Episode 5.03: "Written in the Start" will forever be my favorite.
