"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language.
That may be the measure of our lives." - Toni Morrison

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born; it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies, coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way." - Unknown

and once upon a time, i said yes...

*sorry for the less-than-great pictures. all i had was my phone.

He left the ring box on my bathroom counter and waited until I found it. Inside the box was the ring and a folded, handwritten note that said "Will you marry me?" I ran back out into the living room and said "I found something in the bathroom, and I will marry you." The ring is an antique Tiffany ring from the 1920s. Today was such a happy day.
